PMView does not exit cleanly in XP Pro - PMView does not exit cleanly in XP Pro Options

I have used PMV probably since its inception way back in OS/2. Wonderful program.

I am running current version of PMV on XP Pro, now SP2. This problem has been around for months and months, although I am just now getting around to inquiring about it to try to trouble shoot.

The program does not close cleanly. Upon exit, it is still running as a process. Task Manager-Processes.

Each successive opening and closing of the program starts yet another process, one after another after another.

Please advise.
