Thank you for your great product! But, may be, if it is posiible, it is very interesting to add RAW type support to your program. I ask some people who own Digital Cameras, like Canon 300D, - they are interested fist of all in software to read and convert their digital images. This is a very fast growing market, so, adding RAW file format to PMView may be very helpfull. Regards, Alex Smirnov, SysInfo/2 Author. |

There are several problems with this:
1. The RAW formats change with each new camera model release 2. The RAW format is Manufacturer dependet and often the specification is hard or impossible to obtain 3. Auto-detection of these formats is hard, if possible at all due to the lack of well specified headers. Since PMView is extension-independent it has to rely on well specified headers. Each time PMView sees a file, it will scan the file for detecting if it is a vaild file supported by PMView. The more complex the detection is, the slower PMView will be...
