Screen capture freeze in IE Options

Windows XP SP1, PMview 2000 2.32 and PMview Pro
Standard mouse driver, standard plug and play display, Intel 82845 graphics chip on Compaq workstations.

We are experiencing a reproduceable freeze condition in relation to taking screen dumps, when Internet Explorer 6 is loaded.

It is only possible to take full screen dumps. If selecting anything else the cursor freezes. E.g. 'Capture area of screen' will hide PMview and taskbar icon, display the crosslines and freeze. The only thing possible to do is to get into the Start menu by typing ctrl-ESC. Then you can return to the previous state, but with no captured screen.

The strange thing is, that if a local file is displayed in IE or IE is not running, there is no problem, but when a network URL is displayed the problem appears.
