Hi!
PMView 3.22 works really great here, and yesterday I made it the default app for jpeg and bmp too (with the help op the CWMMCFG util). However, BMP and JPEG files don't have the "static PMView icon", but they have some kind of "preview" icon. As this feature slows down population of folders in WPS a lot, I want to have the static PMView icon displayed instead. At http://www.pmview.com/os2new.html, if found: "# General: Option for disabling the dynamic PMView program icon, i.e. locking it to always show the standard program icon instead of the currently loaded file. " However, I cannot find this option in the Preferences dialog box. Any help greatly appreciated! Thx, JB. |

Hello,
That PMView option only affects whether the icon for PMView.EXE should change dynamically. (The icon you see in the upper left corner of PMView). It sounds like your BMP and JPG files are still tied to OS/2's builtin viewer. You need the infamous PRIMGFIX tool to fix this problem. Do a search for "primgfix" in Google, and you should easily find a place where it can be downloaded. Unfortunately, primgfix does NOT work on eCS 1.2(MR), so I still have the problem... Also, I can't find where I have to config pmview to disable dynamic icons. Thx, Jonas Buys. |

Did you try to run the "Set File Association" tool that comes with PMView, and then reboot?
