Problem specific to one user on the PC:
whenever he tries to use any of the capture screen or window functions PMView just terminates. It does not happen if another user is logged in. Version 2.32. Reinstall has been performed. Matrox G450 DualHead and he is using the dual function to show the desktop on two monitors. Any idea what could cause this in the user settings ? |

I haven't heard of this problem before. Does pmview /log=pmview.log log any information ?
Have you upgraded the Matrox driver to the latest version? ------------------ Peter Nielsen (peter@pmview.com) "If you can dream it, you can do it" JFK. -------------------- Peter Nielsen (peter@pmview.com) "If you can dream it, you can do it" JFK.

The user solved the problem by deleting his profile in the Documents and Settings folder. When he logged on he came up with a clean desktop and the PMView problem was gone.

Does this happen regardless of what capture method you use (Instant, delayed, or hotkey) ?
Does this happen regardless of what part you're trying to capture (Window, Window Interior, Screen, or Area of screen) ? Your log above indicates that PMView did not crash, but terminated gracefully. The log is only of value if it is from the run when things went wrong. Please do it again, crash PMView, and let me see the log. PMView just died. Please change to these settings in "File->Capture->Setup":
-Set Capture method to "Delayed by 5 seconds" -Disable "Include mouse pointer" -Disable "Hide PMView and its dialogs" Now try "File->Capture->Screen" What happens? Does PMView die the instance you select "File->Capture->Screen", or does it die first when the 5 seconds have elapsed? If the latter is the case, do you get to hear the beep that PMView emits when the 5 second delay has elapsed? Thanks, Edited By Peter on 1037549366 -------------------- Peter Nielsen (peter@pmview.com) "If you can dream it, you can do it" JFK.
