Under the OS/2 version there was an option to automatically set the icon of an image to a reduced "icon sized" picture of the same image. Is this available under the Windows 2000 version?

No. This is a limitation of the operating system. OS/2 uses its extended attributes to assign an icon to each file. In Windows, you can assign an icon to an executable file, but that's it. Also, the icon file must be present in parallel in this case.

A future version of PMView will include a Windows shell extension that is able to show PMView icons. (This is basically a PMView subprogram that is called by Windows to render icons).
