First you need to decide on what resolution to use. For printing, 300DPI is fine. For web art, 72-96DPI is common. Make sure you have the latest PMView version, as it adds some important features you need. Select File->New->Image. Select the size unit (inches) and the size you want. Also set the resolution. If you want the images to be a specific size, then resize them. In a second instance of PMView, load the image, then make sure that the resolution of the image is the SAME as the resolution of your canvas (e.g. 300DPI). You set the resolution with Transform->Resolution. Then you can resize the image to the desired size by Transform->Size. Again, you can set the selector to INCHES and specify the size in inches. After that, use Edit->Copy (or press CTRL+C) to copy the image to the clipboard. Switch back to the first instance of PMView where you created your canvas. Select Edit->Paste->As Selection (or press CTRL+V). Click on the selection and keep the left button down to drag the image to the desired position. Repeat the procedure for subsequent images. Hope this helps. Thanks. This worked very well! Is there a way to reposition the photos later? Or do I have to start all over? Ralph |

Well, you should be able to do this with PMView. Start a new instance of PMView. Then select File->New->Image and set the size of the canvas. Then start a second instance of PMView. Load an image, resize it and do what you need. Then select Edit->Copy and finally do Edit->Paste in the first instance of PMView to paste the image on the canvas. Thanks, Peter I want to create a page, 10 inches high, 8 inches wide, and place several photos on it. 1. What size should the page be,? 2. What should the photos be resized to? 2a. Do they need to be resized? 3. How do I place them on the page? In my effort two photos insisted upon overlapping in the center. Thanks in advance, Ralph Balzac |
