In file view does anybody know whether there is a way to change the selection of files for action from block mode (all shown between corners) to from-to mode (as normal in windows applications)?

In file view does anybody know whether there is a way to change the selection of files for action from block mode (all shown between corners) to from-to mode (as normal in windows applications)? One way to select from-to is to click on the first file, then press SHIFT and click on the last file. AFAIK, the way PMView behaves is like it works on Windows XP by default... Yep, windows does from-to by the shift, click on last.
No, from-to is by name (or whatever sorting criteria you used), not by graphical block mode. Examples attached....

Aha!!! I remebered that there was something about this, but I just could not pinpoint it.
Grid = OS/2 behavior Non-grid = Windows behavior Right click on the white space between the thumbnails (or on an area not occupied by thumbnails) and select View->Non-grid. That will give you the Windows behavior! Thanks, Peter -------------------- Peter Nielsen (peter@pmview.com) "If you can dream it, you can do it" JFK.
