Here is the scenario, using PMView 64-bit in Windows 7:

- Image is displayed and the cursor is crosshairs (+).

- A portion of the image is delineated. The cursor works as it should, changing as the borders are adjusted to double arrows, etc.

- The delineated part of the image is copied to the clipboard or cropped using the right click menu.

- The cursor changes to the standard arrow.

- Other areas of the image can be delineated and copied, but the cursor no longer changes. It remains as the standard arrow.

- Using PgUp or PgDn to move to the next image does not change the cursor, which remains as the standard arrow.

The only way to get the crosshairs back is to exist PMView, and recall it.

I'm currently running PMView 3.77, but this is a long-standing problem. I can live with it, though. I've been using PMView since the OS/2 days.

I should add that any access to the right click menu changes the cursor to the standard arrow and it stays that way. Copying a delineated part of the image using Ctrl-C does not change the cursor. Possibly the problem is caused by the right-click menu.

I find it hard to believe that no one sees this problem, whether or not you care.

The cross-hairs cursor only appears when PMView is called from the command line:

PMVIEW SOMEIMG.JPG

Otherwise it's a standard cursor.

When the cross-hairs are visible, any access to the right click menu changes the cursor to the standard arrow and it stays that way.

It's infinitely repeatable.

This is the 64-bit version of PMView. I don't have the 32-bit version installed.

Ah! I see it! I'll make sure to get this fixed in v3.78 that is about to get released by the end of the month.

For timely support, please e-mail peter@pmview.com

Thanks,
Peter
