PMView Pro Forums _ PMView - General Discussion _ RGB values in HEX ?

Posted by: khaverblad Dec 7 2002, 07:59 AM

Missing option in pmView (might be there but haven't then found it yet) would be the possibility of working with the RGB colors in just not only 0-255 but as well in hex, 0-ff. This would make life so much easier since when one is working with web images and not having to calculate the hex values back to dec.

Above would be nice to have an option in the palett editor that would be switched betwen hex and dec.

This is a good suggestion. Maybe it would be sufficient if it always displayed the values as hex only? Is there a reason when you would need to know the decimal value, or is the hex value alone sufficient? I would guess it is...

Hex values is a good idea.
Maybe it's possible to display the hex values as string like it is used in HTML (#213467).
The most benefit would it be if PMView shows the decimal value and the hex value but both in edit fields with on-the-fly convertion. Because other image apps doesn't show and let edit RGB values in hex and I have to copy the decimal values.
