I have two printers on LPT1 connected via a Belkin switch: a Lexmark 4037-5E and an Epson Stylus Color 880. The Lexmark uses the Laserjet II driver and the Epson uses the IBM OMNI driver.
I can print to either printer from all my applications except PMVIEW. Printing to the Lexmark works fine from PMVIEW but when I try to print to the Epson, nothing appears in the Epson spooler (and so nothing prints). PMVIEW also works fine with the FxPrint driver for PMFax.
I have deleted and then re-installed the two hardware printers using Selective Install and, after rebooting, both printers appear correctly as options on the printer selection dropdown menu but still PMVIEW will not print into the Epson spooler. The Lexmark is set as the default printer.
I am using PMVIEW 2.32 under Warp 4.52.
Can you please help?
Many thanks

What version of the Epson driver are you using? (If possible, let me know where I can download the same driver you're using).
I take it that even if you set the Epson printer object to "hold", nothing appears, correct?
Thanks,
The driver I am using is the OMNI driver shipped by IBM on the Warp 4.52 (MCP) CD. I have checked and the print stream does not go into the spooler
Is this really the latest driver available?! Have you checked the IBM device driver repository for a newer driver?
Please check if a more recent driver is available here:

Thanks,
Peter,
I have updated my OMNI driver to current level - 30.778 - but makes no difference. Document is not going into the spooler.
Should I re-install PMVIEW?
Regards
Derrick
I just finished installing a fresh copy of WSeB (Warp 4.5) w/ FP3 (build 14088) and the Epson Stylus Color 880 driver from the WSeB CD. (BTW, what is the Warp 4.52 version you're using? My WSeB w/ FP3 here reports itself as version "4.5").
Unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem here. Printing flawlessly spools the print data. I can view the printed image when I double-click on the file in the printer object.
Reinstalling PMView won't help unless you first uninstall it so that all registry keys are deleted. It is probably easier to use UniMaint/IniMaint and delete all the "Print" keys under "PMView 2.0". Please try this. (Stop PMView first, delete the keys, then restart PMView again).
Thanks,

I do not hace Unimaint, Peter, so I have just ordered it from BMT micro. Hopefully I will understand what you want to do after I have received my package.
The version of Warp I have is what is sometimes called MCP2 off the CD - I have not installed any fixpacks.

Oh, the shareware version of IniMaint would do just fine...
BTW, you could also try running PMView with a different INI file, that'll give you fresh settings:
pmview /ini=fresh.ini
Try this and see if printing now works better.
Thanks,
Peter
Peter,
Cleaning out the ini file worked, thank you very much.
