ooops!...(damn I hate these web forums)....
..continuing on: - When I minimize PMView, there is no icon on my desktop (even though the setting is minimize to desktop). When I "get it back" from the Tasklist (it's the only way), the PMView icon _does_ appear on my desktop briefly, and then goes away again (as it should with the window maximized or restored). - When PMView is opened, for some reason the icon in my PMView folder is not hashed out, as it should be when a file is in use. Anyone else see this? This doesn't happen with any other application. (And it is slightly annoying). I am running MCP2 + FP3. Isaac |

I have PMView Pro 3.01
There are some silly behaviours I noticed, some carried over from v2 - If I use "File-Open" or the open button, and then I hit "Cancel", if I look in the Window list, the File Open dialog still exists, even though the dialog appears to go away. If I use the window close button on that window instead of "Cancel", then the dialog really does go away (gone from Tasklist). |

Is there any chance of getting RAW support in the near future?
This is usually the lossless picture format used in digital cameras, or at least the "Professional" ones. If PMView is gonna be "Pro", shouldn't it support RAW as well? :-) I think it might have to be different for each model (not sure), but there are only a handful of major digi-cam manufacturers with RAW. (Canon, Nikon, Minolta, Kodak?) Heck, I'd be willing to pay a little extra for a plugin that does this. As I understand most RAW image format is easy for programmer, but not necessarily for user. I am using OS/2 version of PMView Pro.
I notice the user defined features have some very cryptic names. It is only because I am familiar with the stuff that I have an idea what they do. However, on the screenshots of PMView (Windows version), there are some very long descriptive names in the dialog window for custom user filters (e.g. "Laplacian Edge Enhancement 1") On OS/2, I get "LAPACI1". Not very helpful. Is this a fundamental OS/2 limitation or something? I Isaac |

Ummm...not sure I understand. I mean, for transparent colour in general for any format, that could be problematic.
But if I save in GIF format, PMView handles transparent colour very nicely. I assume that is specified in the GIF specification. Is the OS/2 Icon format not similar? Isaac |
