PMView Pro Forums _ PMView - Windows Technical Support _ Is Capturing Multi-monitor Screen Shots Working?

Posted by: skydvrz Oct 11 2017, 05:01 PM

PMView is a great product! I have been a licensed user for many years - all the way back to the OS/2 days. I use it almost daily.

I have a dual monitor setup where the desktop spans the two monitors. I can capture the screen of the monitor PMView is sitting on, but I can't capture the opposite monitor. I tried straddling the two screens - no help. I tried capturing Area of Screen and the selection box won't allow me to straddle the two monitors - only the one PMView is sitting on.

Is there some trick I am missing?

I am using PMView Pro v3.80, 64-bit version on Win10 Pro-64. The monitors are set up for 1680x1050. The display adapter is a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PMView has multi-monitor support. However, it is limited to capturing one monitor at a time. (You need to move the PMView main window into the monitor you want to capture).

Capturing multiple monitors at the same time is no easy task since Windows lets you run the monitors at different sizes and resolutions.

Thanks,
Peter
