I am using PMView 2.32 on Windows 2000 Professional (SP2). A bug introduced recently (including 2.31) is in cropping. Display the selection information window. Try to move the selection rectangle beyond the limits of the image by using the mouse or keyboard in the selection information window. Then, a single beep occurs and the program freezes. Of course, one would only do this by mistake, but it is a bad response to a user error.

I just tried this on Windows 2000 Server (SP2). I can't see the problem here. I also tried it on NT 4.0 (SP6). No problems.
Have you installed any user-interface enhancers or add-ons?

Just tried it on a completely different machine with different hardware. Windows 2000 Professional SP2.
I still cannot see the problem...

Peter,
Sorry to hear you could not replicate the problem I reported. Was my report clear that the crash occurs only when enlarging the selection rectangle indirectly -- that is, by using the selection information window? The problem does not occur when enlarging the rectangle directly in the image window. Furthermore, it only occurs when I try to enlarge the rectangle beyond the image borders (top or bottom -- I have not tried sides).
I have not installed any user-interface enhancers or add-ons that I can recall. The problem occurs for me on two machines (both dual processor), one with Intel P-III chips and the other with AMD Athlon chips.
Thanks for your prompt replies.
