We use a QImaging product with TWAIN to acquire digital images from a Q-Color3 Olympus Microscope camera. If we take a picture with the QImaging product it can only save as a TIFF file. I've been investigating using PMView. When using PMView, if I open a TIFF file previously saved, everything looks great and I can resave in JPEG format. If, however, I try to acquire the shot from within PMView: the Qimage preview screen opens; my preview shot looks just fine within it; but when I shoot the picture and it appears within PMView --- 1. the color balance is way off (mainly too green, I think) 2. there is a second band of the picture attached to the left side of the full image, adding about 20%, with a black line between them.

Check that the "Use buffered memory transfer mechanism" option is disabled. (This option is on the Special/TWAIN page in PMView's preferences notebook).
