Converted a jpg file to 256 color, then went to edit palette.
Eyedropper looks interesting, so I clicked on the help button there, but nothing happens. A propos of my earlier bug (clicking the X won't close) Same thing happens when I select File and then Close. -------------------- |

All this sounds like problems with the help viewer. Uninstall NewView (and make sure that the OS/2 replacement DLL is restored to the original IBM one!) and you're problems should be gone...
A newer version of NewView might solve the problem too, I'm told... Thanks, Edited By Peter on 1055452457 -------------------- Peter Nielsen (peter@pmview.com) "If you can dream it, you can do it" JFK.

Thanks. Upgrading niewview fixed that one also.
However, there's no help explaining the eyedropper. Using help on edit palette doesn't say anything; searching on "eyedropper" doesn't either. -------------------- |

QUOTE However, there's no help explaining the eyedropper. Using help on edit palette doesn't say anything; searching on "eyedropper" doesn't either. That's an oversight. I'll add this in v3.01. Click on the eyedropper, then point it anywhere. When clicking the left or the right mouse button, the closest matching color in the palette is selected.
