Running a dual Athlon with 512 Mb RAM and latest Snap video. System locks up requiring hard reset after viewing variable number of jpeg photos on either HD or CDROM. Same behavior with last three versions of PMview. Hang occurs after 5 to 40 images. Regularly run Unimaint and cleanini. Setting all exe and dlls to single CPU with execmode did not alter behavior. Love the program, but hate to use it because know I'll have to reboot a couple of times.

I have seen this too. The SNAP drivers seem to have a multithreading problem.
I'm using the Matrox driver myself, because of this SNAP SMP problem. I suggest you contact Scitech with a bug report. FWIW, pull one CPU and you'll see that everything works fine. Seems like Scitech did their quality testing on a single CPU machine. I've been using a 4-CPU machine for PMView development since 1995...
