After working fine for quite a while, this morning I can no longer print in PM View. I get a popup window that says', "unable to retrieve printer information"
I removed and reinstalled the printer driver (which is the latest version from HP) without any change. Printing is fine within other applications. Below is system information captured within PM View: Application Product name : PMView 2000 for Windows Version : 2.32 Build : 17832 Graphics Screen size : 1024x768 pixels Bit depth : 32 bits Plane count : 1 plane Uses palette : No Refresh rate : 60 Hz Raster caps : 7E99 Screen Physical size : 254x203 mm Resolution : 96x96 dpi Processor & memory Number of CPUs : 1 CPU family : 15 CPU model : 2 CPU stepping : 4 Page size : 4096 bytes Physical RAM : 511 MB Operating system Operating system : Windows NT Version : 5.0 Service Pack 3 Build : 2195 Vic -------------------- Take care,

Thanks for letting me know that this solved the problem.
![]() The next version will do this automatically. If PMView gets to the point that it cannot retrieve the printer information, it will reset the printer info (only the info stored in PMView's own registry, of course) and try again without it. This is the way it should be done and is arguably a bug in the current version (2.32) since it fails to reset to the default info if a problem appears.
