I installed PMView on WinXP Pro and set it as default viewer for all recognized file types, but WinXP still insists on using its image viewer as default instead of PMView. What to do?

Do you see the same problem, etc.? Peter, I've found that if I select each file type, right-click, Open-with, Choose-Program, then select PMView, and place a check in "use always..", it finally sticks. It seems your file association routine in your installation program may need to be given some bigger teeth when dealing with XP. PMView DID wind up in the list of associated apps with all of the file types, it just didn't become the default for some reason. Hope this helps. Jim [/b:post_uid0] |
