PMVIEW Windows 2.14 Crashes Options

When ever I try and select a number (more than 1) thumbnail I get:

More details.

Win/98 SE. FAT partition. 1024x768 resolution. PII/650. 265m ram. ASUS motherboard.

Problem repeatable at any time.

Swipe select. Click on 1st image then move mouse over 2nd image. Cursor appears to be arrow with shadow box underneath, no selection of second image, just crash.

Keyboard only, SHIFT/cursor works OK.

CTRL/mouse click works OK.
