In file view does anybody know whether there is a way to change the selection of files for action from block mode (all shown between corners) to from-to mode (as normal in windows applications)?

One way to select from-to is to click on the first file, then press SHIFT and click on the last file. AFAIK, the way PMView behaves is like it works on Windows XP by default...
