given but this concept would “be capable of flight in and out of the atmosphere at speeds up to
Mach 25. It could routinely travel to any point on the Earth in under two hours.” Reconnaisance
was one possible mission, and there were rumors the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird spyplane would
eventually be replaced in strategic reconnaisance missions.
