One of the most common picture formats in windows is WMF (windows metafile). Is there
any way of viewing these files with pmview ?

thanks
Peter
Unfortunately, No. WMF is a meta format (it contains both vector and raster [bitmapped] graphics). In order to show WMF PMView needs to get a vector-to-raster converter.

PMView could just use Windows to show the WMF file. However, this is completely against our strategy. PMView should be able to read and interpret (understand) all formats that it can read. Having Windows do the work would work, but leaves us out of control (and support). Hacks like this are not acceptable in PMView. (I know that other software does it this way, but we don't do it in PMView).

PMView v3.0 will most likely include a vector-to-raster converter that allows reading of WMF files.

Best regards,
Peter
