Now for the real problem. I have a G4 image of a historical document that I wanted to post on my web site but the image is a bit too big so I tried to resize it to 75% of its original dimensions. The image was irrevocably converted to "Deep Color" and I could not find any way to save it as black & white TIFF/G4. I had to resort to a different image tool. Sorry for the disfunctional e-mail. BMT's server was attacked by spammers. As a result the hardware got overloaded and gave up and all the pmview.com e-mail addresses were down for more than a week. Anyway, they should work fine now.
This should work for your image problem:
1. Make sure that you're using PMView 2000 version 2.11 or newer.
2. Converting the file with "Use Interpolation" will generate a true color image. Make sure to use Convert->Black & White before saving it again.
Once these two issues are taken into account, everything should be okay.
