The default file associations for PMView under Windows include MSP files (Microsoft Paint). Current versions of Paint do NOT use this extension; they use common formats like BMP, JPG, PNG, etc.

More importantly, MS now uses .msp for Windows Installer patch files. If they become associated with PMView, it can be hellish to get them to install! I am an experienced computer user (since 1966), but it took me over an hour of Googling and fiddling around to get them re-associated with Windows Installer once PMView had grabbed them. As you know, file association is MUCH less transparent under Windows than on OS/2.

MY SUGGESTION is to remove MSP as a default association of PMView, as soon as possible.

Makes sense! I will completely remove the MSP association in v3.11.

Thanks,
