The only thing keeping me from upgrading from PMView 2000 to 3 pro is the nice feature where it would show a file dialog at startup with the command "pmview .", loading the first image in the directory as the new version does is not usefull to me. Please help me get the old functionality back!

As mentioned in another thread, the next feature version (v3.10) will have an option that lets you open the File Open Window from the command line.

The reason for changing this in PMView v3.00 was a response to numerous bug reports about PMView opening the File Open Window instead of showing the files. Many users did not consider showing the file open window to be a logical response to opening multiple files. Hence the change, and v3.10 will bring back the old behavior by providing a new command line switch.

As a side note, the new functionality in v3.00 is very powerful. You can for instance type:

pmview d:images*.jpg z:files*.jpg;*.gif c:*

This lets you effectively browse through numerous directories and/or drives simply by pressing PgDn/PgUp.

Thanks,
