I am tracking down a problem with WebEx v1.2 & jpgs. I can view a .jpg that has been generated by another app, but after merely loading it in PMV and saving it to a different name, WebEx will not display it, showing instead the "crossed box" icon.
Am I missing something obvious? Test images: ftp://asavage.fdns.net/hosting/Filename%2...as%20spaces.jpg (works) ftp://asavage.fdns.net/hosting/Filename%2...s%20spaces1.jpg (does not work) Regards, Al S. -------------------- |

Al, try this:
Load a file Select File->Save As Set the file name to: WebExTst.JPG Select Save as type: JPEG Press [Options] -Make sure that "Progressive JPEG" is disabled -Disable "Optimize entropy encoding" Press [Ok] Press [Save] Now the new file (WebExTst.JPG) should load fine in WebEx. Once this works allright you can backtrack and see what setting that caused the problem. ------------------ Peter Nielsen (peter@pmview.com) "If you can dream it, you can do it" JFK. It is "Progressive JPEG" that makes WebEx choke. Thanks for the troubleshooting tip.

Yes, that's true. WebEx cannot read progressive JPEGs.
