PMView Pro Forums _ PMView - General Discussion _ Gps Location Disappears

Posted by: andershl Nov 21 2018, 08:17 AM

I store my pictures on a server and keep a local browse library, max. size 2000x2000 on the computer. Have a Quick Script for the purpose. Most exif information -but not the location lat/lon - is transferred to the new copy. This is also th copy I take to google Photos which subsequently ask for the location. Arrrghh..

I am on PMViewPro 3.81

Can you please e-mail me a sample file (or give me the web link to such a file) and I will have a look at it!

Thanks,

Peter

I have found and fixed the problem. This is an unfortunate and unintended side effect of working around a problem with EXIF files that have incorrectly stored Interoperability identification tags with tag value 0.

The fix will be in v3.82
